Features and uses:

The Nandina domestica Obsessed®, is a recent selection of Nandina domestica, belonging to the berberidaceae family and has Asian origins.

The Nandina Dom. Obsessed® is probably today among the most sought after evergreen bushes; it is distinguished by the colors of its foliage, in fact in autumn winter it becomes a beautiful red intense, and among its similar is the variety that takes on the most intense coloration.

The leaves are small in size and grow on dense and thin stems, the oldest ones are dark green, while the new shoots are pink and then red in the winter season. They have an elliptical shape very similar to Nandina dom. Gulf Stream. its wear is compact and generally does not exceed 60/80 cm, this makes it great for vases, flower boxes, and borders. But it is also very good on a mixed spit to other shrubs, perfect for round bales, hedgehog beds or long bicycle paths.

It fits very well into classic and modern kind of gardens, in Mediterranean-style gardens, or in Zen style. It loves the sun, but it also tolerates the half shade. Placed in the shade you will not get the live red leaves that characterize it. It does not require pruning and it is difficult to get sick.

The Nandina Dom. Obsessed can be combined with many other shrubs, some examples can be Abelia Sparkling Silver, Forsythia Mikador, Osmanthus tricolor, Nandina Lemon Lime.
