Features and uses:

The Carex oshimensis Evergold is an ornamental grass native to the Japanese Islands of Honshu, belonging to the cyperaceae family. It looks like an excellent groundcover with medium / slow growth and its height ranges from 0.30 to 0.50 mt from adulthood. Greggio Vivai cultivates this plant in pots.

It is an ornamental evergreen grass; its clump of flexible and flexible leaves is variegated yellow cream in the center and green at the extremities and gives a lot of brightness to the garden. Its flower has the shape of a small brown / beige spike and appears in the late summer.

Carex oshimensis Evergold can be exposed to the sun or half shade, and like all the other ornamental grasses we recall it requires a low irrigation, a single pruning at the end of winter to remove the dry leaves and is not subject to disease. Furthermore, thanks to its growth, it will prevent the growth of unwanted weeds.

This ornamental grass can be used both in private gardens and in public parks. It is particularly suitable for making bordures or mixed flower beds. Thanks to its wear and colors it will give a stylish, refined and modern look to the green area.

Carex oshimensis Evergold can be associated with many other ornamental grasses, according to the end result you want to get, for example at Festuca glauca Elijah Blue to have a color contrast, or Miscanthus sinensis Red Chief, to get a game of heights.
