Features and uses:

The Nandina domestica Gulf Stream is a shrub belonging to the berberidaceae family, recently discovered and imported from the United States of America.

Evergreen bush, Nandina dom. Gulf Stream is characterized by a dense foliage of small size, elliptical, dark green. The new shoots in spring are colored in orange yellow, while in autumn they turn to red orange.

The Nandina Gulf Stream is distinguished by its very compact appearance, also called "nandina nana", and is perfect for pots and flower boxes to be placed on terraces and balconies or simply to make small barriers. It is also great as a border or inserted into mixed flower beds with other shrubs, perhaps different shapes and colors, to create elegant landscapes.

The Nandina Dom Gulf Stream is not demanding in maintenance, not dirty, asks for regular irrigation if it is in pots, is hardly attacked by insects or mushrooms, and does not require pruning. It prefers sunny or semi-shaded positions, if positioned in full shade, but the leaves do not take on the hot lively colors typical of this essence.

In mixed parks of public parks, private gardens, both in classic style and in modern style, can be combined with other essences such as Ligustro Ibota Musli, Variety Osmanthus, Photinia Little Robin, Landscape Roses
